Photovolatic cells are man made and are composed of geranium and silicon. They take sunlight and transform it directly into energy. The process is as follows:
I. Cells placed into solar panels
II. Solar panels collect sunlight.
III. Sunlight cause the electrons in the silicon and germanium to become charged
IV. Electrons become so charged that they cause a spark
V. The spark is transferred into an electrical wire and transported to the electric storage unit in the basement of you home.
